Nice, thank you for sharing.

Looks like applications practice for competition. ...Yes, no?

Thanks. We not participate in competitions, but we really like to practice applications.

Ok, then I know, thanks.

Why I ask is because, IMHO, the apps shown would make more sense for free push hands or from a more realistic self defense situation, i.e. punching and similar. I can't really see the point with these particular applications from a push hands perspective. Though there might be some point to it as there are other people practicing this way.

You are contradicting yourself.

Arm drag, single leg pick, foot sweep - the shuaijiow/wrestling world would welcome you with arms wide open.

I like these moves btw. Plus it's a good way to practise on harder surfaces & walk away without back injuries.

Wrestling and shuai jiao are great, but all these techniques -arm drag, single leg pick and foot sweep- are also in taijiquan and baguazhang. Why not use them in our daily practice?

That is a question I wonder about as well.

Shuai jiow is the mother of ima & regardless of the flavour the throws can only be learnt with practise.

The way you guys are doing it & given it's a hard surface is great.
