The other day i was walking down the street and on a side street there is a small headquarters for a martial arts association
but what caught my eye was an antique Guando..
heavy-- and ancient looking
not something you could buy today at all

they were closed
but called them
and they are Golden Eagle style

The city I grew up in, Changhua, is one of the strongholds of Golden Eagle boxing in Taiwan. I still remember seeing people demonstrating this particular style at religious parades as a kid. The thing about it is that the practitioners have always been kind of hush-hush, and you'd be hard put to find someone with thorough knowledge of the art (especially in terms of application) who is willing to share.
