Very impressed by the power and applications shown by Liang Xiaofeng, probably the most convincing demonstrations I have seen from Dai style people. Think he also has experience in Shuai Jiao and Sanda besides the Dai style Xinyi he learnt from Zhao Yu and Wang Yinghai.

Not to be that guy, but his Dai style is completely awful.

Sure he has some "Kung Fu" but he has no body movement or any technical characteristics of Dai Xin Yi Quan.

(At 05:30 in the first video) he tends to keep his spine straight rather than curve in the contraction phase. looks more like xingyi than xinyi.

Think he also studied Che style xingyi from Bu Huaqiang (son of Bu Xuekuan), so it may be that in his own practice he mixes the shenfa.

Putting aside whether the movement he shows is good Dai style movement, this guy obviously knows how to use his stuff, would study with him any day over a forms purist. Just saying....

I agree. It seems he is mostly using generic Shuai Jiao and Qinna techniques and making them look like Xinyi. His entries also rely too much on hand movements.

Good IMA technique: move in, smother the attack, take his center and slam him to the ground. I don't do this style Xingyi, but in my mind this is the way that Taiji should be done, if not all IMA. I certainly would not want to be his stooge.
