Old chap looks solid and more like kinda of Xing I for me, not like teacher of the "flowery show " style
but
I`m not versed in those styles,
anyway, if he teach in Chinese army, it should be something more practical, don`t you think Ron?

Looks like Liu He Quan, which is one of the Northern Shaolin styles that modern wushu longfist is based on. Xing Yi also borrowed a lot of concepts from this style. Basic training in Liu He starts out a bit like modern wushu with an emphasis on speed, flexibility and athleticism and adds Xing Yi like power generation as the practitioner advances.
