Any translations ?, I believe if you have mastered lethal striking methods, as a master you can modify them to non lethal demonstrative skills, i.e. If you're near enough and in position to lift the chin you can surely Lay heavy palm on the chest, reverse chop to the throat must easily be changeable to a well ground backhand pimp slap, I would think.

At :21 flailing at air?, one hand alone, zero connection to any other body function, no step, no waist,
No opposite hand cover ?

After viewing video footage of all the recent disastrous CMA vs MMA/Sanda/Boxing matches, I think it's quite obvious that many CMAists are almost clueless when it comes to defending against a flurry of violent punches to the head coming from different angles.

CMA, in general, also spends too much time on cooperative application training that begin with some type of wrist or arm contact, or against unrealistic telegraphed attacks.

Agreed , on all points, which in turn leads to lead feet, considered root but realized as stagnation.

Who cares if you can take care of a punch -- Wudang Kungfu will eventually make you an immortal, no? :)

Just found the full version on Youtube:

The Bagua guy later claims that the reason he lost is because striking the throat wasn't allowed....

These kind of encounters will probably eventually bury TCMA completely, as far as 'Teh Martial' goes. It will fully transfer into the realm of performance (dance, movies, etc.) and the only other value of it will be a historical one. Very soon, too; probably within the next decade or so.

So all you guys saying the CMA guys are doing it wrong, why not post an example of CMA guys doing it right, instead of simply critiquing? :|

Wanderingdragon?

I get your point it is the reality of the situation. It's not me, but I suppose it would look something like this, it's really just about knowing how to fight.
