ok next set of noob xingyiquan questions then:
1. if pi quan is downward and you are holding a spear, what kind of blade is at the front of the spear? is it like a dagger on a piece of wood? so you could downward slash with an edge? or is the only cutting edge the point? same question for other directions of movement.
2. if the blade on the spear is an edge, then if you put a dagger in one hand with the other hand empty handed, you do these "forms" the same way, but it's no longer front hand hit, rear hand apply? is this more like an empty hand application? same with a stick? if I try this out, totally naively, it seems like that is the case.
3. forgot but will think of it... maybe I was thinking of a double dagger kind of situation.
basically every weapon michelle yeoh's character picks up in the above scene - whether long and bladed, two blades, blunt stick ... how much do these 5 element "forms" transfer over?
