We are in Beijing to explore the Chinese martial art of Xingyi with master Tongan Jia. Xingyiquan fighting art uses fast powerful attacks often in a straight or angular direction, closing down the opponent very fast. Most often the opponent is overwhelmed by the speed and intensity of the straight-line punches.

To me these episodes are pretty typical of what you get when you take TV people who have no idea about CMA to make a series....Everything that is said in this episode could have come straight out of a book (6 harmonies, form-mind fist, etc). It does not really get into the 'meat' of what makes xingyi formidable as a style (whole body power, inch force, etc).

Not saying there is anything bad about the teacher / group featured (pretty sure Jia Yong'an is from Luo Xingwu's combined xingyi + bagua branch), just that the interviewers were asking the wrong questions!
