Wave movement

Really liked this clip - there's a shoulder strike (0.23) in here and a cai (grasp/pluck) (0.11) that I would struggle to differentiate from Tai Chi, although there is no concept of a dantien in Systema. Thoughts?

I struggle to see a major difference between some of the pigua/baji I once learned - especially some of the punches and slapping

I’m always unconvinced by these demos
Have any of the students of this stuff ever applied it in open combat
I would imagine they would be quite open to it
Thé remind me of Peter Ralston and his stuff
The title wave action got me in
Broken wave action is quite refined in Fu style
It is one of the things I took away from Fu and still practice on a daily basis
Unfortunately it was not that
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form

The wave in this method can be generated from any part of the body, most typically the shoulder
