Did he study with Sun Zhijun? Looks very like the cheng sun does.

I think this is the Lu Shengli who is a disciple of Sun Zhijun (not Wang Peisheng's disciple).

Ah, that would make sense. They have the same given name but this fellow is surnamed Lü 吕 and Wang's student is Lu 鲁.

Sun Zhijun's flavour is instantly recognizable. Lu Shengli was previously a student of Liu Xinghan. After Liu Xinghan passed away he continued his study with Sun Zhijun.
