Why did the guys at the beginning keep banging their sword blades on the floor? Wouldn't that be bad for the blade?

It's amazing what you can do on a Mac - I made this while feeding breakfast to 2 kids and changing 2 sets of nappies [that's diapers if you live in the US] - yeah, I know, it sounds like it! For a full length version I think I need to riff out at the end on "The bagua foot um,um, um, the Bagau foot, um, um, um....." etc....

OTOH, I know that after a heavy night on the vindi and lager, it is smart to be safe...

I quite liked that demo, thought it wouldn't work with sticks: He is all about the cut. Why so negative, chaps? History hangs heavy...

Troy:

The bouncing the tip off the ground is an Arnis thing (which is where Joseph is coming to this from) but I have never seen it done with swords before...only makes sense to me with sticks.
