I can't read Chinese. It looks like a 1960s/70s era vid. It's of a pro wrestler versus a Tai Chi guy.

This was discussed in an article in Inside Kung Fu magazine in the mid 1990s: Everyone quoted in the article agreed it was fake. Even before then, it was widely rumoured to have been fake: Robert Smith mentions it in his first book in these terms. Looking at it, it clearly was not a fight.

He was a PRO-wresler - not an amateur wrestler. Pro-wrestlers show; amateur wrestlers shoot, so it seems feasible to me that a CMArtist COULD have beaten him. But as noted above, this was not a real match.

and then theres the story of one of his brute disciples, trying his hardest ( behind closed doors ) to take Huang down...the student couldnt put a hand on him...only touched cloth, nothing solid.....we are talking about a wrestler and a taiji master here arent we? Huang was a true master, youonly have to look at his refinements in the form and his push, tech wizard. He may have been a great Taiji master, but this fight - c'mon. Do you really think that he was SO GOOD, that everybody who watches the fight thinks it is fake, but actually it is real? Damn, that is some level of skill.

Still, if he was that good....why didn't he find a real fighter to fight, rather than a pro rassler?

These days, if you want to make a name as a fighter, you fight in MMA/NHB, you don't set up a match with, say, a kung-fu movie star.
