my fighter did well

Postby neijia_boxer on Sun Oct 25, 2009 8:23 pm

We had another saturday afternoon fights. I warmed up a team mate anthony who won his fight. he is in the black trunks. I had him do some of the following pre-fight warm up

thai pads:
-push kick, 4 punches and knee
- ducking and returning 4 punches
- low kick and punching
- waist kicks and punching
-counter punching: taking a hit and returning fire.
-jab in- move back out of way, step in jab-cross-hook.
-body shots

wall and floor stretching.

he beat the guy who is fighting in MMA, this was a K-1 rules fight. you can see me in the corner wearing black shirt and hat.

In that match no..

K-1 rules.

Even though Anthony needs better clinch defense he did well for his first match ever.

Really good for his first fight...he was more comfortable in the context than most first-time fighters usually appear. Fireplug of a guy with a lot of fighty spark in him. He's gonna be one tough hombre if he keeps it up. :)

Your fighter did good . next time he gets in the ring with someone who likes to grab the back of his head, tell him to wrap the wrists with his own ,step back to stop the inevitable knee, shake him like a dog with a towel, and come up the middle with a nice heng or two.
The point . is absolute

This guy is a fight team, team mate. He focuses more on Muay Thai, but does some of the BJJ and Judo classes. He doesnt do Neijia, but i think he may had done another martial art maybe karate. I definitely made him do some breath work during stretching and warm-up.

Very nice! He uses the jab really well and like Areios said, he had a very nice head kick.
