Not to hijack the thread, but how did Chang Dong Sheng get to be so strong? His strength is even apparent in his old age. was it solely through traditional apparatus training? Thanks.

Chang had some of the smoothest, most powerful looking Tai Chi I've ever seen. A real pleasure to watch...

steve: from what I hear from my teacher, yes, pretty much. he used to lift large pots filled with pickled vegetables for his master like he would for a sweeping type throw. his brother would use stone locks to train embracing--I'm guessing he did too. remember, he also had 2 brothers to lift/train with all the time.

that vid is quite a find, Bob, thanks! that's not the angle I see from my teacher's official vid. nice to see GM from a different angle.
