Both prodigys of the incredible Zhang family gong fu. Zhang family seemed to produce some heavy hitting people in those days.

Yes, that's what I was thinking.

I wanted to post it yesterday but I kept blanking on Wei Shuren's name. I'm so very glad to see more and more video coming out from Lu Baochun.

It's interesting to note the differences in terms of flavor, power expression, and application between Li and Han's Baji branches, knowing how they both learned from the same teacher.

I've seen some excellent Baji applications in Taiwan passed down from Li Yuan-Chi, who learned from Ma Yin-Tu (I think) at central kuoshu academy. His system has been passed down in a special branch of Marine corp for decades, and is distinctively different from the more widely-spread Wutang Baji. In fact, Li Yuan-Chi's Baji, especially the applications, is more similar to Lu's.

Thanks for the responses!

''It seems like much of what he demonstrates in those clips comes from Wei Shuren's teaching.''

I think this is probably true, Lu also trained a lot with others though.

(see bottom of the page)

Unfortunately I am completely rubbish when it comes to that sort of knowledge :P

Best to you all!
