Really solid, Sudan.

The only thing I think could be better (and what the fuck do I know anyway) is that maybe you could relax in the shoulders a little. Your body is nicely unified, but it seems like you cut off a little in the shoulders and it keeps you from driving all that power from the feet up into the hands. Not sure how you guys do things in Dai style. Looks really good though.

Best,

so much of that dai stuff looks like the power is generated from the whole body expansion it's hard to look at and know how much and where the power is in the arm. In a way it looks a lot of the time that more of the physical body is backing up/involved in the movements than in xing yi. Seems like there's so much structure behind many of the movements that the crispier/snappier method in xing yi is unnecessary, something like a big ass wall slamming into you I don't really know anything about it so please someone inform :)

i am quite interested in how Dai style closes the gap on the opponent to get to the range the forms seem to be geared towards. I have not seen much in the forms to show how they deal with closing from long range to touch.

any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

eek. My bad. I seriously need to get my eyes looked at. I've been having trouble seeing things in small detail and needing more light to look at shit lately. I think it's an age thing and it's completely freaking me out.

S- already has bad vision...doesn't need more of it.
