serious q, isn't that a good thing for overall self defence training.. you can pick the throws which work without you exposing injury to joints, muscles etc through overloading and really perfect them knowing they will work in whatever circumstance?

Exactly another alterior motive behind the idea as well. Ive actually gained alot of this kind of insight working in the protective services for years where Ive encountered many sizable people, some trained some not, and had to "neutralize" them (professionally) as opposed to being able to str8 beat them up.
