Any commodity can be turned around to allow for addiction, perversity (yes, and it depends on degree
and conditioning from
the State apparatus, regardless of political affiiation. US propaganda against China claims the "social score scale" is what makes China
a bad state though much of US policy towards its own citizens put those social scores, makes them laws and allows abuse on all levels to
put down (punish) those who go against the status quo.
