When I was around 5 or 6 the wicked witch from the wizard of oz scared the hell out of me.

Bug (made in 75)
...I saw it when I was 7or8 on late night tv...it kept me awake all night...specially the idea of freely crossing flying biting 6inch bugs that set fire to you...

Poltergeist, second video I ever saw (first was the anmiated Lion Witch and the Wardrobe), REALLY shat me up walking home in the dark on my own...every tree was viewed with suspicion

PS
Outland was a class film...sci-fi lonesome sheriff classic ..loved it!
What I really need right now is a montage....

the one movie that freaked me right out was a movie called fire in the sky. I havent seen it since I was about 10 but it still gives me chills thinking about that movie to this day (i dont want to rewatch it because i know its going to be super cheesy and lame):

I remember staying up to watch Alien one night and my parents sent me to bed just after the chest burster scene, so I never saw the bastard get it, that freaked with my head for weeks/

Pennywise took about a week of my sleep in my early teens. And who else was freaked out by the little elf thing in Stephen King's Cat's Eye?

Especially the last story.

I watched it alone when I was 13 on a windy, dark Saturday afternoon in autumn. Afterwards I went upstairs to read, and saw out of corner of my eyes a giant head outside right outside of the window, bobbing and moving ever closer. I turned around and saw it was just a random pattern made by the bare, dense branches of the 40 foot tree in the backyard. But I kept seeing that pattern, and finally had to close the curtains.

From Karen Black, who played the main roles: "I think this little movie took my life and put it on a path that it didn't even belong in".

It even has a Wiki entry, with detailed plot, etc. Whaddayaknow.

Scared the living shit out of me (and also out of pretty much every other kid I knew) -- esp. the ending.

P.S. Wow, it's on Netflix!! Ordered. 8-) Will be so damn cool to watch it again.

Stephen King's IT, I was like 8 or 9 years old and had to sleep on the floor in my parents room for like a week after that one.
