-My Bloody Valentine - a cheesy flick made during the post-Halloween & Friday the 13th slasher flim glut of the early 80's.
-Night of the Living Dead
-Creepy old "horror" & sci-fi monster flicks with bad everything but creepy black & white atmosphere. One of them was "Dungeon of Harrow": "The survivor of a shipwreck encounters a hallucinating sadist (the Count DeSade!) on a leprosy ridden island is the basic thread of the story but it's more like 'The Most Dangerous Game' on psychedelics."

No movies jump to mind, but I saw 10 minutes of an episode of the tv series "The Survivors" where one of the people caught rabies & was chasing the others. That scared the bejeezus out of me. Still does really.

I know, im a fan (of the book, because someone scewed that movie bigtime). The Last Man On Earth is a much better adaptation.
