Weird weapons and found objects--just for fun

Postby budo on Tue Sep 21, 2010 1:46 pm

For the fighty amongst ye: What are a few of the unusual weapons you've had experience with? Could be something you've used, had used on you, or seen in use. Seems like found objects are always popular... I had a fellow cold-cock me with a boombox (remember boomboxes?), and I've used a helmet (not on my head) to get clear of an ass-kicking I was on the receiving end of. Best though, was watching a couple of street urchins brawling on Upper Haight in SF. One pulled up a paving stone to bash the other, but he was too weak to use it and couldn't catch up with his target. He gave chase for about a block, holding it overhead in bash-ready position, but then just collapsed, exhausted. So rad. ;D

Dog choke collar. I used to carry one around in my pocket with one of the end circles hanging out of the pocket in easy reach. Never struck anyone with it, thankfully.

That pen is awesome! The dog chain reminds me of a documentary tidbit about a biker gang (forget which one) that went with the Masterlock on a bandana option...

I like the pen alot. I may sand off the logos on the pocket clip and the top and then spray paint those areas black so it is more inconspicuous. To me the white Smith$Wesson logo stands out and tells everyone what you've got.

I got mine through Amazon for less than $25.

Nice! I saw a guy break his own collarbone trying to ram another's head through a Chevy van. (Company picnic gone bad.) The drink in the face is hella Sam Spade--I like it.
