not in the closed position, but opened umbrella used a bit like greek shield. more of a fun thing, but how effective could this be against a charging wrestler and knife?

Posted: Tue Nov 16, 2010 2:03 amFunny you should mention umbrella. My teacher's teacher's or whatever, Funakoshi the karate guy, once did exactly that. It's in his memoirs. Intention is related to vision and his umbrella screwed with what they were trying to hit.

Im a carpenter by trade ( Hence Mr_Wood, nothing to do with male genitalia ) so i usually have a wealth of nasty looking objects just a tool bag away but simplest and always happily tucked behind my right ear is
