chipping in...

so the new chat software we're looking at is a bit pricey.
$200 for the main license, + more for addons.
Here are some cool addons that they have:
1) whiteboard feature during chat. $500 for the module
2) webcam $500. Yeah I know. opens up a whole can of worms...hahaha so we probably won't get it.

I think the whiteboard feature is especially awesome. no more long explanations about left and right foot, with left hand fwd etc etc... you can just draw it.

Anyway, it would be good to get some money together to buy it. Chip in if you'd like.

Current warchest is $390, out of $700.

hosted option for 123flashchat is $199 for the license, $499 on top of that (but only a one time license thing) for the white board. then $100 a year for hosting. the straight up hosting option is $300 a year, so it's really not worth it.
as it is we have enough in the war chest now for a 1 year hosted deal, plus some change for year to year renewal.

we are still looking at chat options, frankly we've been busy setting up the software and haven't had much time to look for new chat options. more to come the next week or two.

don't worry about it man. also, paypal takes a cut, so it's best to wait til you have a larger amount before you send.

Kick ass!

I think Fong originally set the chipin to go until May 29, and we're just $90 away with 2 days to go. Fong and Ashe have been busting their behinds, Fong already chipped in a wad of cash, so if y'all could finish this off it would be really sweet. Maybe think of it like a $5 lurker tax for those who appreciate the board but don't post too often. ;D
