I had to give up diet soda like 10 years ago because of the splitting headaches it gave me...quit and they just went away.
I've actually been working on kind of an experiment with my son inasmuch as I've been trying since he was born to make sure that his diet is as good as can be. I based it on one of my buddies who is like the healthiest guy I know and his big, big thing is PB&J.
After he was weaned that kind of ended up being my sons default breakfast over the traditional cereal and what do you know...it's worked. He's like the healthiest kid I know. Lots of protein, nuts, whole grain breads and fruit, and green veggies when I can get them down him (he's 7, what can you do), and NO soda. That plus lots of exercise makes for a happy healthy human.
