Technology has gotten to a level where it is now impeding people's ability to actually learn and rationalize.

The first question would be: How the heck would a cell phone work without supporting infrastructure?
Oh that's right, it wouldn't.

Is technology making people dumber? Yes it is.
Knowing how to operate a computer doesn't make you smart or intelligent any more than driving a car makes you a mechanic or better yet a mechanical engineer.

People want to be idiots it seems.

More interesting is the swiss watch timepiece ring that was recently found in a 400 year old chinese tomb.

of course, it could possibly belong to someone who recently found the tomb and then something happened to stop their efforts and the tomb was discovered again with the lost artifact within it and the lack of knowing that someone may have found that tomb already.

anyway, that would be my first thought long before i started speculating about time travellers. lol
