8-bit music

Anyone else a fan of that nintendo sound?

I definitely love the 8-bit sound. A friend turned me on to this girl's work... 8-bit reggae dub somethin or other: http://8bc.org/members/bitmuch/

There are a lot of songs mashed up in her work, but she does a lot of the vocals herself.

still goin thru them, but "Where the ragga man go (finished)" and "Welcome to the Skints Show" are real bangers!

It seems to be the new fad as I'm hearing it in lots of places. It makes me feel like I'm 7 years old when I hear it.

8-Bit/chip rock rules. I've been listening to it for quite a few years now. It started with trackers, but eventually some people released LSDj, a tracker built into a game boy cartridge with a couple of different styles of interface. Having grown up on nintendo, it's probably impossible not to love this music, but I try not to let that knowledge taint my enjoyment. Dig on Fighter X:

Combining this thread with another one, I'm going to put some chiprock over my Ma Hong videos. Clearly the best forms music.

I'm not alone... Sweet! :)

The Commodore 64 was really the one that started it all. Some killer tunes there. But there's a lot of good music to be found in all video games in general.

Not all 8-bit, but a great one to stream: http://www.kohina.org
