Take the homeless to the zoo!

I heard that the homeless are being given passes to the zoo and to museums for the Democratic National Convention--that way they won't be on the streets. Why not give them passes to medical clinics so they can get a check-up? Isn't healthcare for everyone a staple of the Democratic platform?

The usual mode of operation for large American cities having a highly televised event is to give them bus tickets to a distant city. Atlanta sent Albuquerque hundreds of homeless before the Olympics. Salt Lake also bussed them away.

This is actually an improvement over the norm.
