Sell Your Stuff and Move to China

This guy got laid off at 25, decided to sell all his stuff and move to China for a few months to manufacture his new I-Pad cover invention...launches the company zoogue.com and documents it all on YouTube.com

good for him.

but what's with all the retarded, infantile brand names nowadays?

the names are indeed quite infantile.

there is likely a reason for that. :)

Meh...he could have done that without moving to China.

At the start I kept thinking, this guy doesn't have a clue...he's screwed, but then when I started to see how obsessive and insistant he was on packaging, product detail...I realized this was not a shot in the dark, he knew what he wanted to do and its great to see someone make something happen.
No chance he could have made this happen in this time frame without being in China, maybe with an existing cookie cutter product, but not a fools chance if your developing something new.

why not?

why would he have to be in china?

there is pretty much nothing that is done there that cannot be done here.

Misunderstood, I don't mean you couldn't get it made it the US, you could probably get it made much better, just not with his budget...it had more to do with time, in some videos its like 5am and his hotel room is littered with plastic and foam trying to make adjustments to what the factory was doing, looking at box samples and saying "they look the same, but this one feels more like the Ipad box" You just can't get that if you're not at the factory durring development and production.

I thought it was a little ballsy calling himself an "inventor"
