I really haven't seen that many movies lately that float my boat and have, surprisingly, been getting all my entertainment from good cable tv.

Really love, Rome. True Blood. Just starting on The Tudors.

Last movie I saw that I liked was prolly the Dark Knight or Solomon Kane.

Rome is really good as is True Blood. Tudors is good, but everyone on it is a bit too petty for my liking. I really enjoyed The Dresden Files while it was on and I also like Fringe. Of course those are all series. Would like to see Solomon Kane, though as a fan of the written stories I suspect I may be a little disappointed (though probably entertained nonetheless).

yea - the Dresden Files - that was terrific. Fringe is cool too - the props department is customers of mine. Gave me an autographed pic of the 3 main cast members.
I really enjoyed the show Testees but it only lasted 1 season... :(

Due Vite X Caso (Italian, arty)
Soul Kitchen (German, funny)

While I'm at it, I highly recommend Korean Air, upon whose lovely clean 777 I saw the above two movies, as well as Inception, Kickass, and Iron Man 2

If you like "Repo Men", try "Brazil" (Terry Gilliam's). But, this is a question that needs some categories because there are a zillion answers. "Casablanca" is a must see, but so is "Fargo." "Kiss Me Deadly", "D.O.A." and "Blood Simple" or "Red Rock West" are all worth seeing more than once. But, so is "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" or "Witness for the Prosecution."

I guess the first thing someone's gotta know if what they want from a film; thrills, chills, spills, jokes, mystery, sex, inspiration, romance or a combination of some or all. There are great films in all those categories, several in different decades and on different continents in different languages. I think Andy mentioned "[The] Chaser", and I think he means the Korean film. They make some of the grittiest crime stuff.

Anyway, as far as series go, I liked "Wire in the Blood." "Primeval" is supposed to be coming back for another season. Haven't seen the new "Dr. Who", but I've heard that it's good.
