I don't think having a shadow government of theocrats is in keeping with modernity and there is no direction
to politically lead a country in any scripture. advise yes, mandate? no.
Iran faces great change in the near future, there is no question of that at all.
In fact, the entire middle east has been undergoing turmoil in one place or another
since the fall of the Ottoman empire and before that, tribal warfare ensued to some extent.
that we are more thoroughly aware of it all is probably a good thing.

We live is tough times, not end times. It's not useful to imagine the other side as monsters, because they just aren't. If we want to be desperate let's be desperate about seeking compromise, and try desperately hard to keep our political speech intellectually honest.
