yup. that luke skywalker thing is more fuel for that fire. I stand by that call. It all makes sense. Ned wouldn't betray his own honor like that unless it was for something like the dying wish of his sister. Lyanna's last words to Ned were "Promise me, Ned." Ned can't tell anyone who Jon's mother was because if he does, it's obvious that Rhaegar would be the father. If it became known that rhaegar was his father, he'd be heir to the throne, with a big target on his head. He couldn't even tell Catelyn because Rhaegar's father killed Brandon Stark, who was her betrothed. And I vaguely remember some bad blood with Rhaegar himself and the Tullys/Starks.

Haven't read any of the books yet, but wouldn't it be interesting that while these 'kings' are busy fighting amongst themselves, the 'savages' from outside the wall come in, help lead by Jon Snow, maybe with help of Daenerys and her dragons, take over everything?! Hello Qing Dynasty. It would be like what Xaro Xhoan Daxos said, a lot of times winners are not what everyone think they're are, it's the outsiders, those on the fringes ignored by conventional wisdom.

BTW, love how Xaro Xhoan Daxos' vault is totally empty, echoing what Lord Varys said earlier about "power resides where men believe it resides. No more and no less. A shadow on the wall, yet shadows can kill." Power and wealth may be illusions, but their effects are certainly real, look at how they were used to bully, intimidate Daenerys throughout her whole stay at Qarth.

Thought the dragon fire scene could have been a bit better crafted, but all round really cool - loved the 'man of many faces' scene wuyizidi posted before

Time for Season 5 !!!

Who watched it? I thought it was good.

I liked the opening scene with the young Cersei and the fortune teller; the actress who played Cersei as a young girl really nailed it.
Tyrion and Varys were great as usual (at Illyrio's house, the merchant who raised Dany & Viserys).
Mance dying kinda sucked, but it'll be interesting to see what happens to Jon next, especially given Melisandre's question to him.
Littlefinger and Sansa are headed off to somewhere, possibly Winterfell? And what did the note that Littlefinger received say? (Probably that Tywin is dead).

Thoughts? Opinions?
