EO2 was better. 10 episodes means the story moves so fast and so much has to be left out. Still they do a good job with certain things. The Lannister breakfast was amazing and virtually word for word from the books. Joff is suitably hideous, though I do wish we had gotten the scene of Renly openly laughing at him for being disarmed by a small girl at Aryas trial. Not sure what they are doing with Cersei and Catelyns characters though. Both are so far a little more sympathetic than portrayed in the books. What happened to "It should have been you."? Enjoying it still so far.

Dmitri: Did you mean you just added I Claudius to your netflix q? If so and you haven't seen it you'll be happy. It's just about the best tv show ever made.

Best,

Hey, I'll do the internet thing. "I, Claudius" and "Rome" are great, but not as good as the book (er, I mean Suetonius) :)

I think they're all good in their way. I actually didn't like Rome at first because I was seeing it through the eyes of I, Claudius but now I love it. I think they dovetail together really well together.

I think any costume drama owes a debt to Claudius though.

oh, and the one thing that drives me crazy about Rome is when Octavian is first hooking up with Livia they say of her that she only has one son Tiberius totally leaving out Drusus.

I'm a bit hazy on the chronology, but Drusus (Nero) was Octavian's stepson. But, "Rome" is not historically accurate and leaves out stuff, like extended family members.

Saw Ep 2. Im already NOT liking the way they are cutting the direwolf scenes. They should be bigger and have more airtime, even though they are pups, and wtf...where the hell is Ghost? Not liking it at all.

Also I don't like how the Hound looks. He's too... soft looking. I remember sandor clegane was all hard edges and had a much more gravelly voice. and he should move with more of a grace.
