Instead of bugging the admins, we can just do it like we used to before -- someone would bump this thread (or create a new one in OTT, if this one dies out, with a title like "Chat is on!" or "Free beer" or whatever), and re-post the above link and invite the folks/let them know he or she is there and available for chat at the moment.
Maybe an admin could even sticky it at the top. Ya know, just for Chris.
Haven't played with it much, but a quick test revealed this particular chat "app" to be very nice and clean, it's Java-based (no Flash), AND there are no password or signup requirements of any kind needed to enter the room/join the chat.

Only thing is the chat room is a little slow in posting new entries; I found I was a bounce behind in the whole conversation. Or maybe it's just me.
