Obituary

David N. DeVere, 43, of Phoenix, AZ., passed away while in hospice from liver and renal failure, on June 6, 2012. He was a gifted artist and web designer for the film industry. David had a heart of gold and a sharp wit. One of his passions was to make people laugh. He was loved by so many people and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his parents, Ericka Stehle (Chabek), James Stehle, Andrew DeVere (Donna Wentz) of Ohio, loving fiancee, Lisa Peters, brothers, Michael DeVere, (Laurel Park), Brett Stehle (Rosie Medina), Andrew DeVere Jr. of Ohio, sisters Stephanie Stehle (Rob Fridge), Andrea DeVere and beloved niece, Paris DeVere.

To know David is to love him and once he got into your heart, there he stays. So talented, funny, goofy, handsome, exciting, boyish, hopelessly romantic and tumultuous, he truly was one of a kind. The art we created together fueled my passion for photography and changed my life. I knew his addictions would take him from us too soon and that his passing was inevitable but now that he's gone, my heart is broken. I can't even express it properly in words. Sending love and support to his family, Lisa and his many friends. I can only be thankful that his suffering is over. David, I will miss you and you will forever haunt me.

Dear Members of RSF,

As we approach the 4 month mark since David passed, I have finally figured out how to navigate this site (just a little).

A huge hug and thank you to DIO for being such a special person, for driving all the way from Cali to visit David in hospice, and bringing all the wonderful messages from all of you, both written and spoken, to share with David just days before he left us.

As I read all your messages, watch the videos you posted, etc I can see that some of you knew my son very well and recognized his talents, humor, and his hard driven passion for life, traveling at light speed, only to crash and burn much too soon. He did more in his short life than others do in a lifetime. I am so happy that I (we the family) had him here with us in Phoenix during the last year of his life.

Thank you again for all your posts. I truly appreciate them all.

I just miss my friend. I still wish I could have done more to help him. We talked a lot about what was going on his life awhile back, but I had too much going on in my own life to offer more than moral support.

I miss him too. I always wanted to take him around Tokyo. I also wish we could pitch in for EF.com and make sure that it never goes down.

Really he is missed- he did a great thing for all of us who have enjoyed this site for so many years.
good times when he was here and it was a virtual party on EF Friday night with many jokes, learn a lot and share. Time- sure as hell goes fast when you look back. I would chip in some funds to keep it going.
