The wonderful world of comics

I used to flip through a lot of kung fu comics as a kid as it was a direct fascination with martial arts. They were over the top compared to comics in the West. Could not read them worth a darn but loved the Hong Kong Dragon And Tiger Gate series as well as the Bruce Lee - Lee Siu Loong series. Great illustrations! When I got older I got into Fist Of The North Star - Hokuto No Ken series. Again, could not read them worth a darn but fascinating the various martial arts they represented even though it was pure unabashed fiction. Just curious what people flipped through for inspiration. Of course, sometimes truth is much stranger than fiction and art does imitate life.... or at least be inspired by it.
