Not a bad primer in the functions of the human (bipedal) spine. It's the first step toward understanding the mechanics of groundpath, cross-alignment of body mass to avoid committing weight/center to one side of the body, and the exploitation of the dynamic tension of opposing forces to effect both structural stability and power.
In other words, internal power and structural stability are the result of our ability to use mental intent to manipulate the physical features as described in the above discourse on tensegrity.
