I hope that he gets the boot in the ass, though it is unlikely. My riding will probably vote for Denis Codere, so I voted for NDP. A NDP minority governmemnt, with Liberals being the leading opposition party, would be the best IMO.

I've never been one for strategic voting.

I'd like a Liberal/Bloc government frankly.

Liberals have always taken Canada in tech right direction while the conservatives have done us wrong from Deifenbaker scrapping our national projects and military strength in favour of a bootlick position in NA to Mulroney who totally sold us down the river and has us to this day in a set of golden American made handcuffs. Such are the tories.

The NDP are too socialist for my tastes. I don't care much for Socialist governments overall but the few dabs of socialism we do have in our society are enough and they were put there by Liberals.

The Bloc is the natural answer to a minority government of any party because they are the only party that properly defends and upholds the interests of Quebec. The Bloc was founded by former Liberals in the Mulroney era. Without those 50 seats, Quebec would get nothing but anal sex from the rest of Canada and Quebec would be playing catcher.

so, GO LIberals! A ndp/bloc opposition is ok by me and if we never have another sitting tory government in canada it will be too soon. lol

It was the haircut... ;)

Seriously, I am astounded how little margin Mulcair got in his ridding. After all, he is an upstanding politician, with good values that he defends and did much more for the people than that Dhavernas dude. I am glad that he won, but I am disappointed that he got his seat with only 2000 votes difference.

AS for the result, I am disappointed. But at least it is a minority government, so Harper can't unleash the anal rape on us. Yet.

Like one of my colleagues says: a 350 million $ cut and paste. I bet that Harper won't try to pull this stunt again. In Quebec people will be especially mad: we may have provincial elections before the holidays. :-\

What do you guys do up there on election day? Go down to ye jolly olde slophouse and turn in a chicken with a daguerotype of your candiate and their olde parliamentary house colors (slytheren, gryffyndor, etc) also affixed?

S- just curious.

yea, but who gives a rat's ass about Quebec vs the needs of all Provinces/Territories? What has the Bloc done for the rest of Canada vs "we want to separate from Canada"?
