Thanks chaps. We're still in the investment/establishing stage, so it's a bit tricky. Next show is the big test though, but should be easier as we will likely be working with a big Chinese promotion, but let's see if we can put it together the right way. If all goes well, your most welcome to come along (might be a bit of a trek for you though Chris, still, can make a weekend of it), I'll have some gratis tickets for you.

George, I'll give you a shout in Jan, we sort something out. I think I live about 20 minutes away from you these days :)

I'll keep you guys updated!

I don't really see it catching on.

The reason non-martial artists love the UFC is because the apparent "lack of rules." Not so sure there will be a huge market for more rules.

Not to mention most UFC fights are practically all kickboxing and boxing anyway in 2015.

But the biggest star is Ronda Rousey for submitting fools in the first round.

That being said I'd watch this over K1 and I think a lot of stand up fighters would enjoy this format.

Good luck.

Thanks Greg!

One of the main ideas for the concept came from wanting to bring several types of combat sport together and provide a platform for competition between them.

You can check out some of the full fights below if you like. It's from Chinese TV, but the fights should be marked on the reel. it's in 3 parts, 3rd part isn't out yet:

Sure thing AZ.

I should point out that I was talking about American non-martial artists who are fans of MMA. I think in Europe kick boxing enjoys a lot more success as a professional sport. Here even K1 hasn't caught on.

I would be interesting to see how the Dutch kickboxers go against Combat sambo thugs.

Yeah, I think Kickboxing is more Euro and Asia, though if I'm not mistaken, the US was a major player in creating the Western style, particularly around the 70/80's, including a load of pop media I. E. Van Dam films :)

We haven't had any sambo guys on yet, we did have a chat about this not too long ago though. We have however had Dutch kickboxers on 2 of our shows. Really professional, tough, no nonsense. Good fighters!

Out of curiosity-- why did you decide to put the MT ahead of the MMA? In the US, most folks think stand-up is more exciting, so it would be a good way to get the crowd fired up for the second round. And if you want to be Machiavellian about it, if the guys gas themselves in the first round rolling, you're more likely to see knockouts due to fatigue or a guy who got dominated in round 1 having to press for the KO in round 2, which again adds to the excitement.

I hope at some point you can put out something about what all you've gone through with this project, what it takes to do a good fight promotion in general, etc.
What I'm after isn't flexible bodies, but flexible brains.

I would love to see format different than - conditioning and punch resistance - win
but
it not goin` to happen :'( , that`s live... :-\
even most technical oriented judo went this way, from the Tokyo Olympic game time.
I don`t know, - something in rules sets?

nice chicks ,Az :)
