Bruce was a shrimp, never had a real fight, gave demos and talked a lot of shit off camera.

bruce was a movie guy, not a kungfu guy except by image alone. he didn't even complete the curriculum in his wing chun school.
wing chun is the smallest system of kungfu you can learn, with teh least amount of sets and the least amount of time to learn it. Like any kungfu though, you get to practice and refine for a lifetime, but Bruce abandoned the teachings shortly after only going through half the lessons.

He had some natural abilities to kick etc etc, but never proved himself of any merit whatsoever in the reality of competitive violence or anywhere else for that matter. I do believe it was rumoured that he beat up a 16 year old boy on a movie set once though.

If you begin your practice starting on teh foundation of fantasy, what is your practice going to eventually be? That is a question worth asking of any martial artist.

bruce only ever made one american movie that was hot with the MA crowd and virtually no one else. Go around mentioning "enter the dragon" today and be prepared for the same blank stares that meet you when you say "the beatles were great" lol.
