Jesus on leadership

A lot of leaders seem to forget this or at least not apply it:
"“Whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant.”"

If all leaders applied this properly, the world would be a much better place. Instead of serving the interests of those who do them favours, they should serve the interests of the those who they are supposed to represent.

I agree. Sadly I don't think it ever seems to happen, does it? The only people who end up going for power, are power hungry.

Maybe they don't start out that way, but as John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton, first Baron Acton (1834–1902), the historian and moralist, said:

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."

Chuang-Tzu had something interesting to say on the matter with regard to turtles.
