Outbox and Private Message

Hey guys, does anyone know why is it that sometimes the private messages I try to send out end up sitting in the outbox for hours before they are delivered?

They sit in the outbox until the recipient opens them. You can edit or delete them up until that point in case you get sender's remorse.

Ohh! Thanks Mike. I thought they weren't sent until they were out of the outbox.

That explains it.
"Sender's Remorse"? But wouldn't the recipient get suspicious when he sees the "This post has been edited 31 times" thingie at the bottom?

Actually, I've used it a couple of times. Goes well with the "Google Glasses" thread.
