Question for Obama supporters

what's so wrong about government spending the bulk of its budget on things that actually help and uplift the citizens instead of spending the bulk of its budget on spoon-feeding corporations that have quarterly profits in the BILLIONS of dollars? if it's a policy choice that boils down to helping the few vs. helping the many, i'll vote for the latter every time.
we, the people, have elected our goverment officials to serve OUR interests. we did not put them where they are so they could make themselves richer at our expense.
i wonder when we as a country became so thick in the head that we forgot about all of that stuff?
