Lillian was born October 28th at 8:14PM. 6 lb 8 oz, 20.5 inches.

Its been a very hard pregnancy for my wife but its finally over with. Everyone is doing fine. Lily has jaundice and we have to stay at the hospital an extra night just incase. She has a special bed that has a light in the bottom to help clear it out. Nothing too serious. 8-)

Congrats.

My daughter had jaundice, too. Make sure to take pictures of her with the glasses on her head. So you can use them against her later! :)

Congratulations Ben!!!

My oldest son had jaundice btw, no big deal. When your girl comes home just take her outside for 10 minutes or so every day (if it's not cold) and walk around with her, she'll like the outdoor air, and the jaundice will go away fast.

Mine are 5 and 7 now, I can barely remember when they were that little!

My oldest son also had jaundice, but it was a condition known as G6PD. He had to have two full blood transfusions. Funny thing, as long as the doctor said he'd be okay, there was no problem. Nowadays, I shiver when I think about it.
Anyway, best of luck to both of you.

No glasses, the light comes from the bottom of the bed and doesn't shine in her eyes. Its like a screen hammock with a light under it. Pretty cool.

I know what you mean Steve, I was a little worried until the test came back and we had a game plan. Now I'm just going with the flow.

Hey Ben - awesome, man. Congratulations. Is this your first? Mine was born 7 months ago now (little girl) and it's been fun and awe inspiring the whole way through - it's worth the sleepless nights.

Yeah, but the cool ancillary effect for me was that I fell in love with naps. I'd never been able to wind down during the day and take a nap. Too hyper.

After a couple of years I started to figure out that rather than try and save his naptime for me to get stuff done (which I was always too wiped out to do) that I could just konk out with him.

Those are the best days. When you really bond with them.

I wouldn't trade my kid for anything.
