Similar people have posted pics on facebook of how Obama is disrespecting the Israel for not attending the Holocaust Memorial ceremony to go kiss ass with the leader of Saudi Arabia... oh but they neglect to mention he was paying respect to the King that had died. I'm no longer an Obama supporter like I used to be since he is still a fair bit right of center as far as left wing and right wing go, but at least ground yourselves a bit and stay centered guys - you're ..."martial artists" and should be more level than that. Don't look at a picture out of context and fire off a tirade against the people in the picture (omg... she wore blue to a funeral... what a harpie..!) only to find out that wasn't even a photo from the actual event. This is why I no longer go onto facebook - nothing but hate-facts that are based on out of context imagery or news.

But these are only a few select images - perhaps at some point she DID wear one under a specific circumstance - we don't know that as we weren't there. That's already been tried for years. The number of Americans who believe that the Obama's are closet Muslims is still around 20%. Just kidding, I've no idea of the actual number. It could be higher

Well, it's not so much the color of the garb, really. Everyone is wearing black in some form.
Even if the photo were not of the funeral proper, but of the Obamas' arrival in Saudi Arabia, the real point is that none of the women are wearing abaya and niqab, which is what women are required to wear in public in Saudi Arabia... abaya being the black robe, plus a niqab that covers the head and face with only a narrow rectangular slit for the eyes.

That Ms. Obama and her female aide are not swaddled head-to-toe in abaya, but instead are wearing Western clothing, is only fitting, IMO, as they are guests and not Saudi subjects. They shouldn't be expected to wear native attire as official guests attending a state affair, any more than Saudi princes would be expected to wear Western business suits when attending a US or UK state function.
