The "drunk" wasn't drunk

Re. this clip CaliG posted here -- I forwarded it to a friend and he informed me that this guy in the background was not drunk at all.

He had a head trauma at birth (they were pulling him out by the head using vacuum suction >:( >:(), and he developed cerebral paralysis right there after delivery... He can't speak and has a lot of trouble controlling his movement.

Here's a link to a news article and a clip (sorry, all in Russian...)

Support and money have been coming in, after this misrepresentation on the internet has been exposed.

On a lighter note, apparently (according to the clip referenced above) he actually enjoyed all the attention. :)

Anyway, just wanted to let people know... Next time you see this famous clip, please remember this.

Well not the vacuum they use to clean the floor... (At least I hope not.)

Freakin' horrible stuff, although apparently sometimes it's the only/best option? :-/

I'm just glad I didn't have to find that out with either of my kids. :-X

Josh had to be taken with vacuum/suction method. He's fine, it's not the best way at all - nor the safest, but it was the only option. There's a lot of kids that have massive issues after that happens, it's totally unfortunate...but sometimes, as Dmitri stated, sometimes there's nothing else they can do!!
