name a politician, in office who isn't courted by corporate america.

It's ridiculous to assume that any elected official would not be lobbued or supported by those lobbyists.

Darth
You are correct, but most people don't think of Obama in that light.

No one becomes President on their own or without a few skeletons in the closet. You just can't get very far in politics if you're determined to remain sqeaky clean. It simply comes down to which candidate you think will do the better job as Pres....

it's not a skeleton in your closet to be lobbied by interests who function within rule of law. life is a hard game and you have to play hard to ensure that you can get what you need, nevermind what you want half the time. this is why we have rule of law and those people that administer to it are subject to the corruptions that are thrown at them. the human condition in a capitalist majority rule society conditions the society itself.

Some people would piss on the sunrise.

Nader is an ego maniac.
The more one sweats during times of peace the less one bleeds during times of war.

Ideology offers human beings the illusion of dignity and morals while making it easier to part with them.

Perhaps all are courted, but there is at least one with an empty dance card. Since you know who I'm going to say and since he's been proven right on everything he's been saying since he made a run for President, you might want to listen to what he says about Obama. He's got a long track record of making the right calls.

BTW, I'm talking about Ron P. No, no, that's too obvious. R. Paul. ;D

More Nader asking Obama a question. "Will Obama be an Uncle Sam or an Uncle Tom?" Be sure to listen closely to what Nader actually says.

Wow, that interviewer/anchor is such a disgusting pretentious piece of shit, it's mind-boggling.

I would have voted for Nader, if he was on the ballot in this stupid state... Unfortunately he wasn't, and write-ins aren't counted here, so... :(

yes well ron paul has good hindsight and is articulate about it.

However, he is an isolationist and that's why he get's sent to the sidelines.
there is no room for isolationism from a country like america. there are two many intertwined fates at hand for that kind of perochial, provincial thinking.

It's not "isolationism", it's "non-intervention" -- there's a big difference.

Lets be fair ... there is not much difference when it comes to politicians ... we are always talking the lesser of two evils when it comes to power hungry humans who want to get into any position of dominance and importance .... it comes with the territory! Lets not kid ourselves!

That said, Obama seems to be the brightest hope seen for along time from my point of view across the pond ... after the complete balls up that was the Bush administration ... where can you go but up!!!

on a separate note and quite off topic .... but hey .... I was completely AMAZED at the demonstrations regarding the supposed religion of Obama when the elections were taking place! i cant remember the last time Candidates Religion came up seriously in a UK election .... I dont think anyone really thinks it makes too much of a difference over here! Plus i am sure in the US constitution doesn't it say that religion should NOT be a factor in eligibility of a presidential candidate? I remember thinking how sad it was that it was such a big issue over there ... To be fair if he said he was Buddhist or anything other than a Christian i doubt he would have been even close to winning!! Which is pretty sad ...

anyways .... rant over!

;D ... back to the thread!
