Ok, my perspective? I'd say compare what the Pope says and what his detractors say to the words of Jesus in the Bible.

Just FYI/for future help, for anyone interested, -- that's why the above doesn't show embedded.
These URLs should be always in this format:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBNs_6_FXc4
Where the part up to (and including) the = is always the same (only the 's' is optional), and the following 11 random characters (in this case "BBNs_6_FXc4") is the ID of the video (will be different every time).

As for on-topic comments - this Pope seems like a really cool decent guy and the best Pope I can recall by a long shot.

Agreed. You don't have to be a Roman Catholic to like and admire Pope Francis. 8-)

Slight OTT, but:
Last night I had the opp to meet - and be served a pizza by - the pizzaiola to the former Pope, John Paul II. (And yet, it was heavenly, thanks: Probably the finest pizza I ever ate.)

Anyway, I asked him about His Holiness' favorite pizza, hoping against hope that it would be a Diavolo ("Sinfully delicious! Hellishly hot! Devilishly spicy!")

Alas, it was a Quatro Stagioni.
Services available:
Pies scoffed. Ales quaffed. Beds shat. Oiks irked. Chavs chinned. Thugs thumped. Sacks split. Arses goosed. Udders ogled. Canines consumed. Sheep shagged.Matrons outraged. Vicars enlightened. PM for rates.
