No context?
The students in the clip are upset that police cracked down on violent protestors a few days ago. It's complicated.
Ma Ying-jeou recently decided to bring a Chinese official over for cross-strait talks when Ma is politically weak here at home. The Chinese have never, ever been anything but rude and outright threatening to Taiwan. So when the mainland official got here, protests started breaking out. The protests were lead by the DPP, who are anxious to get people thinking about anything other than how corrupt they themselves are (Chen Sui-bian stole millions of $ US while in office).
The protests turned violent and the police beat a few people. Note that many police were sent to the hospital, too. So the students are being drummed up by the DPP against "police brutality" to obscure the protestor-led brutality them themselves caused.
Typical of Taiwan.
