Goodbye and Thank You

Postby allen2saint on Sat May 14, 2016 6:24 pm

Friends and colleagues of RSF,

I thank you so much for the sense of community and the many meaningful discussions I have had with you. I have learned a great deal and happily, made friends with some with whom I initially had strong disagreement. The time has come, however, for me to leave the site of my own accord and on my own terms, rather than let ongoing conflicts play out as they will.

I would especially like to thank all the people who responded to my very personal posts about losing my home and about the murder of my beloved friend, Jack. Those were painful times and I really did draw a lot of strength from the people who posted their concern, their prayers and their well wishes as I tried to pick up my pieces. I would like to share to all those special people that I asked my girlfriend to marry me last Friday and, fighter she is, she said yes. So, my life has come full circle and I do appreciate the sense of community I received and the respect that has also been shared with me from fellow martial artists from around the world. That, and learning from such accomplished people, has really been a joy for me.

If anyone would like to stay in touch, please PM me your contact.

While I fall short of my own standards at times, it has never been my intention to personally insult anyone here and if I have done so, I apologize. I wish everyone who has been a friend, an advisor, and even a detractor, a safe and fulfilling career in their martial studies. May we all hope for a day that the martial purposes of these arts we refine may no longer be needed.

Best wishes all,

Allen2Saint ( Stephen)

I think the way the site is going you may be the first of many
It has been going downhill for a while
I seldom comment these days as it just is not worth it due to the pragmatic views of largely unskilled individuals
Don't put power into the form let it naturally arise from the form
