I've had a pair of the Barefootrunning black dress shoes for two years and am very impressed by them - hard wearing and lightweight, with superthin soles but somehow also have good impact resistance. Well worth a try, Ashe, they're ILC-friendly.

Anyone here knows of a narrow sports shoe? Everyone here seems to have wide feet and i'm the opposite.

Thanks for this thread Ashe.. Also good to see you uploading videos, nice work.

I have sort of realised that I should probably move away from using my clunky old reeboks at certain times..
Will be looking for something a bit more 'natural', so thanks for the resource and opinions shared here everyone.

Hey,

just ordered a pair of Inov 8 bareFX210 shoes.
There's a review here. Some good reviews and info on this site.
http://www.outdoorgearlab.com/Shoes-For ... are-XF-210

I went with these as I'm getting them primarily for tai chi / IMA practice and for sensitivity and ground connection they seem to be very good. I wanted something without any heel to toe drop and these fit the bill. I went for black with orange trim - very funky!

To be honest I found this review site after I ordered doh!
I'll use them for other training besides, so I'll see how they are. If I encounter any major issues I will let y'all know.

adidas flats gazelles or any of the shell toes are my standard. The best shoes I ever had though were a pair of Adidas Sala II that I got in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong-about 10 years back- I've been unable to find another pair of that style anywhere sadly but they looked something like this Image... also Asics ping pong shoes are good flats that I tried in Japan...

Been my everyday shoe for about two decades now, I wear it to work and, well, everywhere. Tried running in them and they were fine, bur that wears down the soles/heel way too fast. Also they aren't 0-drop (really wish they were!) and actually quite heavy, in comparison with, say, NB Minimus

"Sala" shoes are "futbol de sala" or futsal shoes or indoor soccer shoes. Easy to find these. For example these are very flat (not good for my plantar fascia but you might like them) and inexpensive for this type of shoe:

Edit: also you can search for Adidas Super Sala models like this one:

Normally I wear Vans skinny skate shoes with a nice aesthetic, I admire Rich Jacobs' designs quite a bit and was regularly complemented on the Faces design. Unfortunately, my most recent pair of Vans are already showing wear from only 2 weeks of my normal activities. That said, the most durable so far have been a pair of Merrell Rant shoes. Too bad they're so expensive, haven't seen them at Marshall's since that once.
