I have eclectic tastes and was introduced to Ska and rocksteady back in the early eighties. I was always more of a new romantic girl though-OMG David Sylvian

There's a big scene here in UK, from the old, original mods / skinheads and the 80s Two Tone crowd. Have played in a few rocksteady / ska bands, it's still very popular. Prince Buster played London several times in the early 60s, Georgie Fame was big champion. The first mods were very much into bluebeat alongside soul / R&B
